The Renaissance is Still Upon Us

As the video says, Renaissance is a MASTERPIECE🙌🏾 Over two months after its release, this album (other than gospel music😇) is the only thing I want to listen to. Beyoncé did it again!! Though, I had no doubt that she would deliver and deliver well. I must admit, I didn’t fully get the album until my second listen. It’s so different from what I expected that I was thrown off; but when I put aside expectations and went on the journey with her through the music, I got it!

Oooh let me tell you, what a journey it was!! From the perfect, let me repeat, perfect transitions to the celebration of Black culture and lgbtq+ culture to the vocalssss and bangin beats, Renaissance has it ALL. In my opinion, this is her best work yet and that’s saying a lot. Seeing my favorite artist (who I’ve adored since I was a child) continue to evolve and elevate, it’s such a joy to behold✨✨✨ Now Beyoncé, drop these visuals so I can go all the way off!! Expect another appreciation post when that happens because a release from Queen Bey is always news. But of course, you already knew that😉

They change all the time; but right now, my faves on the album are Cozy, Virgo’s Groove, Move, America Has a Problem, & Cuff It. What’s your favorite song(s) off the album?
