Hello Beautiful Voters!
I am sure that there's not a person alive and well who doesn't know about the election results. But, because I feel like typing it out, here are the results: Joe Biden will be the 46th President of the United States and Kamala Harris will be the first Black-Asian female Vice President. For the second time, America has shattered another glass ceiling by first electing Barack Obama and now Kamala Harris. What a beautiful day for democracy in America!
This election had a record-breaking number of voter turnout. The 2008 election's record has been broken by both Trump and Biden. This is democracy-in-action! Regardless of party, we should be proud that so many people turned out to vote; and we should continue to fight to make voting even more accessible. As of now, Biden has amassed 81mil votes, and Trump has amassed 74mil in the Popular Vote. As for the Electoral College, Biden leads Trump by 306 to 232.
Joe Biden is the President-Elect and will be sworn in on January 20th, 2021. President Trump has not yet officially conceded and has chosen to mount lawsuits against the election process. Most of the lawsuits have either been dismissed or thrown out of court due to lack of evidence. That's because these claims are not rooted in fact but fiction. If you support Trump, please don't choose him over democracy. I implore you to look at the facts because if you do, they will lead you to accept that Joe Biden has been chosen to be this nation's President. Let's put our country above our respective parties and look forward to our shared future with hope.
